Yasin Torunoglu heeft als voormalig wethouder een breed netwerk in de Eindhovense samenleving opgebouwd. Op diverse plekken en op diverse momenten heeft hij ervaren wat cultuur de samenleving en de mensen brengt. Momenteel werkt hij als directeur van de Diamant Groep. Yasin: “Ik vind het fantastisch om jaarlijks culturele hoogtepunten uit te lichten en in de spotlights te zetten. Niet alleen als winnaar maar ook als vertegenwoordiger van de creativiteit en diversiteit van de stad.”

Yasin Torunoglu, as a former alderman, has built a broad network within the Eindhoven community. In various places and at different moments, he has experienced what culture brings to society and to people.

He is currently working as the director of the Diamant Groep. Yasin: “I find it fantastic to highlight cultural milestones annually and put them in the spotlight. Not only as a winner but also as a representative of the city’s creativity and diversity.”

Erwin Thomasse is als kunstenaar gefascineerd door patronen en verhalen die achter de oppervlakte van onze hedendaagse cultuur verborgen liggen. In zijn werk komen popcultuur, wereldgeschiedenis en politiek samen, waarbij Eindhoven vaak als onderwerp en inspiratiebron dient. Hij is al vele jaren actief in het culturele veld en laat zijn werk voor zich spreken. Bekende voorbeelden zijn Turn Panic Into Magic bij het Van Abbemuseum en het logo van RaRaRadio. In 2025 won hij de Eindhoven Cultuurprijs in de categorie Waarderingsprijs Individu. 

Leontine Heuvelmans is ondernemer en eigenaar van Vielgut, een retail zaak in hartje Eindhoven. Vielgut verkoopt duurzame dames- en herenkleding, schoenen en accessoires. Ze heeft veel affiniteit met de kunst- en cultuursector in Eindhoven en komt, mede dankzij haar dochters die als kunstenaar en designer actief zijn, veel in aanraking met de gehele culturele sector van Eindhoven. Als ondernemer in de binnenstad heeft ze veel contacten: van Design Academy studenten en jonge kunstenaars tot gevestigde designers.

Leontine Heuvelmans is an entrepreneur and owner of Vielgut, a retail store in the heart of Eindhoven. Vielgut sells sustainable women’s and men’s clothing, shoes, and accessories. She has a strong connection with the art and culture sector in Eindhoven, and, thanks in part to her daughters who are active as an artist and a designer, she frequently engages with the entire cultural scene of Eindhoven. As a downtown entrepreneur, she has many connections, ranging from Design Academy students and young artists to established designers

Nicky Kouwenberg is architect en partner bij KRAGT Groep, waar hij werkt aan toekomstbestendige leefomgevingen. Hij is gespecialiseerd in erfgoed, maatschappelijke opgaven en stedelijke ontwikkeling, met ruime ervaring in Eindhoven en Noord-Brabant. Als docent aan onder meer de Academie van Bouwkunst verbindt hij ontwerppraktijk met onderwijs. Vanuit zijn betrokkenheid bij kunst en cultuur wil hij als jurylid bijdragen aan inspirerende initiatieven in de stad.

Nicky Kouwenberg is an architect and partner at KRAGT Groep, where he works on sustainable living environments for the future. He specializes in heritage, social challenges, and urban development, with extensive experience in Eindhoven and the North Brabant region. As a lecturer at institutions including the Academy of Architecture, he bridges design practice and education. With his strong engagement in art and culture, he aims to contribute as a jury member to inspiring initiatives in the city.

Iris Penning is voormalig stadsdichteres en singer-songwriter. Momenteel programmeert ze van alles op het podium bij muziekwerkplek Kunstival. Ze is voorvechter van creativiteit en eigenwijsheid. Ze maakt eigenwijze poëtische popliedjes en won in 2021 de Waarderingsprijs van de Eindhoven Cultuurprijs. Met die prijs nam ze een nieuw album op, dat in 2022 werd uitgebracht. Ze staat midden in de culturele wereld van Eindhoven. Als oud-winnares weet ze als geen ander wat de prijs kan betekenen.

Iris Penning is the former city poet and a singer-songwriter. She is currently programming all sorts of things on stage at the music workspace Kunstival. She is a strong advocate for creativity and individuality. She creates quirky poetic pop songs and won the Appreciation Award of the Eindhoven Culture Prize in 2021. With that prize, she recorded a new album, which was released in 2022. She is deeply involved in Eindhoven’s cultural scene, and as a former winner, she understands better than anyone what the prize can mean.
